Joel Hamilton is a Multi-Platinum selling, Grammy and Latin Grammy nominated Brooklyn based Record Producer, Engineer, Mixer and songwriter. He’s produced records by The Black Keys, Highly Suspect, BRKN Love, Matisyahu, Lettuce and many others. Joel Produced Highly Suspect’s Grammy Nominated album “Mister Asylum” and the Grammy nominated platinum selling single “Lydia” from that album, as well as Highly Suspect’s “The Boy Who Died Wolf” album, which reached #1 on the Alternative Album charts and the platinum selling single “My Name Is Human,” also produced by Joel Hamilton, which reached #1 on the Active Rock Radio charts. Joel followed this up Producing, co-writing and mixing Highly Suspect’s MCID album, and the single "16" from MCID, which spent multiple weeks at #1 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart, and was featured prominently in a Jeep commercial that aired in the U.S. and many other markets around the globe.

As an engineer Joel has worked with Paul McCartney and Rick Rubin on the multiple Emmy Nominated Hulu series McCartney 3, 2,1. Joel has also recorded and mixed Pretty Lights’ Grammy nominated "A Color Map of the Sun," Norah Jones’ Puss N Boots album, “No Fools No Fun,” Bonobo’s Grammy nominated album “Migration,” and the classic Sparklehorse albums “It’s a Wonderful Life,” and “Dreamt for Light-years in the Belly of a Mountain.”

 As a writer, Joel has co-written with Tom Waits, Highly Suspect, BRKN Love, and Chloe Lilac. He was the host of the web series "Art of Sound” in partnership with Bose and Spotify, which focuses on the connection between the physical, technical and emotional sides of music and sound.

 In other audio adventures, Joel created sound design for both Elvis Costello during their collaboration on a song for the TV series “House,” and he also created sound design for the film “Charlie Victor Romeo,” which was featured as a part of The Sundance Film Festivals “New Frontiers” program.

Joel Hamilton is a partner at Studio G, Brooklyn. He most recently mixed film-composing legend and artistic-raconteur Danny Elfman’s latest release on Anti Records.
