Joe Mcginty

Joe McGinty is a composer, arranger, producer and keyboardist based in New York City. He is the founder and band leader of NYC night life institution “The Loser’s Lounge,” and the owner of the famously popular retro piano karaoke bar "Sid Gold's Request Room" at 165 W. 26th St. in New York City, as well as "Carousel Vintage Recording Studios" in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. With The Loser’s Lounge Joe has been the creator, band leader and creative director for a series of high-end tribute shows that have been selling out to NYC audiences for 25 years, including regular performances at Lincoln Center, Joe’s Pub at The New York Public Theater, City Winery NYC, and many other esteemed venues. Joe was a member of the Psychedelic Furs and has worked with Ronnie Spector, Ryan Adams, Joey Ramone, Nada Surf, La La Brooks, and many other notable artists. Joe has also contributed music to Film and TV including the film “One More Time” (starring Christopher Walken), the HBO documentary “Love, Marilyn” and the HBO series “Bored To Death,” as well as the films, “The Virginity Hit” (Produced by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay), “Last Chance Harvey” (starring Dustin Hoffman). Joe McGinty is originally from Atlantic City, NJ, and he has an impressive collection of vintage keyboards and synthesizers.
